    Metropolitan Epifaniy congratulates Ecumenical Patriarch on throne holiday

    On the occasion of the throne holiday of the Ecumenical Patriarchate – the day of the Holy Apostle Andrew the First Chosen – His Beatitude Metropolitan Epifaniy of Kyiv and All Ukraine congratulated the All-Holy Archbishop of Constantinople – New Rome, Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew.

    In a warm phone call, His Beatitude Bishop, on behalf of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine and personally, expressed to the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew his heartfelt wishes for good health, many years of fruitful service for the glory of God and for the good of Orthodoxy. Also, on the occasion of its main holiday, the Patriarch of the OCU wished the Mother Church of Constantinople, as it has been for many centuries, to remain a guiding light and center of Ecumenical Orthodoxy, which cares for unity, canonical order, and the successful fulfillment of its mission.

    In a long, heartfelt conversation, the Prelates discussed the current challenges facing the Churches. Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew conveyed the wishes of God’s blessing for the Orthodox faithful of Ukraine and the entire Ukrainian people, victory and peace. “We pray for this every day and ask God to bring peace to Ukraine,” His Holiness emphasized.
