    Epifaniy meets with soldiers from 808th Brigade

    On May 1, 2025, Metropolitan Epifaniy of Kyiv and All Ukraine received at his residence the defenders of Ukraine – servicemen from the 808th Dniester Separate Support Brigade, led by Colonel Yevhen Huska, and their chaplain, Archpriest Ivan Tkachuk.

    The meeting was also attended by the head of the Military Chaplaincy Service of the Armed Forces Support Forces Command, Colonel Ruslan Ratushniak, and the secretary of the OCU Military Clergy Synodal Department, Archpriest Oleksiy Honcharenko, the press service of the OCU reports.

    The Primate was presented with a project for a future temple for servicemen and members of their families, the construction of which will begin in the near future.

    Special attention was paid to the proper honoring of the memory of Ukrainian soldiers who gave their lives defending the Motherland – in particular, the Wall of Remembrance at the St. Michael’s Golden-Domed Monastery and the Square of Fallen Heroes – a memorial complex created on the premises of a military unit.

    The Primate of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine thanked servicemen for their selfless service in defending the country from Russian aggressor and conferred on them church awards.
