Exarch of Ecumenical Patriarch co-serves with OCU Primate on Day of Baptism of Rus-Ukraine

On July 28, 2022, the Exarch of the Ecumenical Patriarch, Bishop Michael (Anishchenko) of Koman, co-served with the head of the OCU, Metropolitan of Kyiv and All Ukraine, on the occasion of the 1034th anniversary of the Baptism of Rus-Ukraine.

The bishopric and clergy of the OCU from all over Ukraine prayed during the service. This was reported by the OCU press office.

The liturgy was celebrated in St. Michael’s Golden-Domed Cathedral. Those in attendance also commemorated the day of memory of the holy Equal-to-the-Apostles Prince Volodymyr the Great of Kyiv and the Day of Ukrainian Statehood.

It should be recalled that a few days ago, the Exarch of the Ecumenical Patriarch, Bishop Michael, visited Poland, where he discussed the leading role in Orthodoxy of the Ecumenical Patriarchate.
