“This is what fear looks like” – OCU spox on Putin meeting Macron

A spokesman for the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, Archbishop Yevstratiy, commented on a recent meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and French President Emmanuel Macron in Moscow on February 7.

“This is what fear looks like. When someone is terrified of getting sick and dying – but he is not afraid to send tens and tens of thousands to get killed, to die only to satisfy his fantasies,” the archbishop wrote, noting the ridiculous social distance between Macron and Putin.

“But what awaits him is much worse than death. No distancing can help one hide from the angel of God’s wrath,” concluded Archbishop Yevstratiy.

It should be recalled that an official meeting of the Russian and French presidents took place in Moscow on Monday, February 7.

Political leaders, in particular, discussed the Ukraine issue. France has openly confronted Putin, telling him he had violated Ukraine’s territorial integrity. The Russian president’s excuses did not amuse Europe. Putin in turn shifted all blame for the tension buildup on the Ukrainian government. In the spirit of propaganda, he again mentioned the “discrimination of Russian speakers” and the need to “protect” the people of Crimea back in 2014, thus trying to justify the illegal grab of the Ukrainian peninsula.
