In their lives, people tend to formulate certain goals that they seek to achieve, toward which they direct their efforts. Having a life goal is a motivation, but we must not forget about constantly improving in terms of virtues and developing worthy qualities in ourselves.
That’s according to the Primate of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, Metropolitan Epifaniy of Kyiv and All Ukraine.
“… In addition to certain goals, it is important to have a certain virtue in our souls – a value, an ideal that can be nurtured every day. Being kind every day and cultivating kindness. Shaping in ourselves a sense of justice and seeking justice in this world,” the Metropolitan wrote on social media.
According to Epifaniy, even the smallest steps to cultivate worthy virtues in ourselves improve us and extend goodness and love in the world.
“So when you wake up in the morning and pray, ask yourself some simple questions. How can I express kindness today? What can I do today for the sake of peace? What move will I take today to establish justice?” the head of the OCU said in his advice.
Metropolitan Epifaniy also urged people to remember that goals and achievements are fleeting, so the main “bricks” of life should be constantly improving in terms of virtues and educating in own self some worthy qualities because they are the most constant, reliable, and unchanging things.
It should be recalled that Metropolitan Epifaniy also addressed the issue of charity. The head of the OCU is also convinced that Putin will be defeated in the war because Ukrainians are a strong nation.
