Metropolitan Epifaniy of Kyiv and all Ukraine called on Ukrainians to enter the new year “with God in our hearts and souls, with our sincere prayers, with faith and hope for our great, just victory.”
“We are wounded, but not defeated. We have suffered many losses, but we remain undefeated. We are really important, but we are strong and powerful in spirit. We are steadfast in our desire to assert truth, love, and support those who are struggling. Therefore, we still do not kneel – except before God, we did not break down, as the enemy sought,” the head of the OCU emphasized.
“We believe and pray that the changes in the new year will be for the better, for the good and confirmation of the peace so desired and precious for us,” added Metropolitan Epifaniy.
The Bishop said to Ukrainians: “I wish light, warmth, hope and VICTORY to all of us in the new year. May the peace and blessing of God rest on everyone who strives for and does good.”
