SBU thwarts anti-Semitic actions plotted by Russia – Chief Rabbi of Ukraine

Chief Rabbi of Ukraine Moshe Reuven Asman, at the invitation of the leadership of the Security Service of Ukraine, held a meeting with the chiefs and operatives from the units, which in October ran a successful operation to expose perpetrators involved in anti-Semitic activities in several cities of Ukraine.

The rabbi wrote about this on Facebook.

“I personally heard the important details of this massive raid, I was pleasantly surprised by the level of expertise of our security services. In particular, not only the direct executors of the provocations, but also the persons who organized, incited and financed the attackers – Russian nationals – were identified. Moreover, in addition to the desecration of Jewish monuments, they were preparing terrorist attacks. Thanks to God, this did not happen due to the timely intervention by our law enforcement,” he said.

“I once again saw a confirmation that the Russian Federation does not shy away from any criminal methods of waging war and spits on all international conventions. They tried to use CHILDREN to achieve their goals – to conduct a series of anti-Semitic actions to drag Ukraine into conflict with Israel,” the chief rabbi added.

At the request of the operatives, he appealed to all Jewish communities to warn people about the possible insidious actions of the aggressor state against the Jews.

“The SBU is ready to respond to illegal manifestations and asks to report any suspicious activity. I thanked and blessed the operatives of the Security Service of Ukraine. Their work is very important, in particular, in preserving international harmony and preventing enemy provocations,” the rabbi emphasized.
