The church in question is the Church of the Holy Spirit in Rohatyn.
Tetiana Petriv, head of the Rohatyn branch of the Carpathian Art Museum, spoke of this with Ukrinform.
“At the Lviv branch of the National Scientific and Research Restoration Center, conservation and restoration measures are being carried out as regards seven icons from the festive tier of the iconostasis and four icons from the ceremonial tier,” said Tetiana Petriv.
She noted that the restoration process took a long time, as these icons were earlier being restored in 1980-1983.
The Church of the Holy Spirit in Rohatyn (Rohatyn Holy Spirit Church, more precisely the Church of the Descent of the Holy Spirit, as noted in the iconostasis) is the oldest preserved wooden church in Ukraine, located in the city of Rohatyn, Ivano-Frankivsk region, a monument of folk architecture and monumental art of national importance. The Church of the Holy Spirit in Rohatyn was likely built in the first half of the 17th century, although it still officially dates back to 1598. In 2013, the Church of the Holy Spirit was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
