OCU church in Kyiv to host memorial for journalists killed in Russian war

On Friday, September 15, at 15:00 local time, , a memorial service for all slain Ukrainian media workers will be held in the St. Mykola Naberezhny Church (OCU) in Kyiv, reports the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine.

The service on the Day of Remembrance of Ukrainian Journalists, which is marked on the third Friday of September at the initiative of the Ukrainian Journalists’ Union, is being held for the fourth time. Its purpose is to honor the memory of all media workers who died while performing their professional and civic duties.

The recent war years have become extremely difficult for Ukrainian journalists. At least 72 media workers died defending their Homeland, each in their own way: some up in arms, and some – performing their professional journalistic duty. Many of them became innocent victims of the aggressor.

Address of the church: Kyiv, 12/8 Hryhoriya Skovorody Str.
