Concerned about UOC (MP) priests: Medvedev speaks about God’s judgment, quotes “Apocalypse”

Deputy Chairman of Russia’s Security Council Dmitry Medvedev threatened the Ukrainian authorities with the judgment of God and also cited the Apocalypse.

In this way, he showed his discontent over the situation around the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra.

The former president of the Russian Federation published a post on his Telegram channel: “Looking at what Zelensky & Co are doing with regard to the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, you especially acutely understand what deranged people and despicable scumbags they are. There is simply no other definition for them. I am sure that they will be subjected not only to human judgment, but above all to His judgment. And they will be held accountable for what they have done.”

The Russian army has been shelling Ukraine and killing civilians for a year already, but Medvedev believes that God’s punishment should target precisely the authorities of Ukraine because of the situation around the Lavra. This is one of the examples of Russian propaganda that distorts facts.

In his posting, the former president of the Russian Federation also quoted the Revelation of John the Theologian, also known as the Apocalypse: “And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet who wrought miracles in his presence, by which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshiped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire, burning with brimstone.”
