New church foundation laid in DRC

The foundations of a new Holy Church were laid last week in the city of Kisantu of the Metropolis of Kinshasa, in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

    That’s according to OrthodoxTimes.

The foundations were laid by Metropolitan Theodosios of Kinshasa, while the Church that will be rebuilt, will honor the Dormition of the Virgin Mary.

A year ago, catechism began in this city, the first Orthodox believers were baptized and, with the love of God, the Kinshasa Metropolis is coming to add one more Holy Church to the local Church.

The Metropolitan, accompanied by his Chancellor, Archimandrite Gerasimos Belesi, and the collaborators of the Metropolitan, Giannis Katsikogianni, and Stella Papadopoulou, also visited the school of the Parish of Nkaga.
