UOC-MP propagandists trying to use attack of mentally ill criminal as argument against OCU

After the attack of a mental clinic patient in Vinnytsia on a UOC-MP cleric, propagandists of the Moscow Patriarchate are trying to use the incident to hamper the unity of Ukrainians around OCU, the Church independent of the aggressors.

Some of the pro-Russian propagandists have already claimed that the recent incident s allegedly some kind of signal to the UOC-MP, and linked the attacker’s actions with the unification process of the UOC MP and the OCU. They allege that this is the intimidation of UOC-MP clerics who do not wish to unite with the OCU.

It is not known exactly how “analysts” and lobbyists of the UOC-MP came up with the idea of connecting a mentally unbalanced man to OCU “agents” and the state, who “intimidate” clergymen for the purpose of unification, but one thing is clear. Any unification of Ukrainians greatly messes up Russian forces’ plans, so they will try to use any incident for their dirty goal – the disruption of the unification of Orthodoxy in Ukraine. After all, a united Ukraine is a strong Ukraine. By the way, even in the Bible it is said that the Kingdom, which is divided, will be desolate.

It should be recalled that on January 2, law enforcers detained a man who assaulted a priest of the UOC-MP in Vinnytsia. The police emphasized that the detainee had not previously been charged with criminal offenses, also noting that he is a patient of a mental health care facility.
