That’s according to Serhiy Haidai, chief of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration, Ukrinform reports.
“I have repeatedly reported the methods the occupiers resort to in order to forcibly mobilize men of conscription age. Now there’s almost no one left there to work, just like at the mine in Dovzhansk, where 430 workers have been drafted. Soon it will come to the point that women will have no one to marry. At the same time, the Russians began to prepare teenage children for war, too,” Haidai emphasized.
According to the official, on the day marking the 225th anniversary of the Novoderkul village, Bilovodsk district, “a solemn oath-taking and initiation of 30 schoolers took place into the Young Guard military-patriotic movement.”
“Did they understand the future consequences of what happened? That’s unlikely. Parents, or rather mothers, perhaps…. But they still allowed their children to attend the event and meekly observed the absurdity that ultimately leads to death,” said Haidai.
The official added that the residents of Luhansk report repeated cases where children aged 14 to 18 years disappear off the streets. In fact, they get detained until their identity is verified. The procedure lasts beyond 72 hours – until the teenager is picked up by their father or brother, who are then faced with a choice: “If it’s not your child, who will go to the front line instead?”
As Ukrinform reported earlier, the invaders in Luhansk region pay RUB 60,000 to those who report their neighbors of military age to draft stations.
