Russian forces are suffering significant losses, primarily in manpower. One-fifth of Russian army units deployed in Ukraine have been defeated.
Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valerii Zaluzhnyi said this in a Telegram post following a phone call with U.S. Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Mark Milley, Ukrinform reports.
“I maintain a constant dialogue with Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the United States, General Mark Milley. In today’s phone conversation, we once again checked out Russian losses in this war. We record the enemy is suffering significant losses, primarily in manpower – one-fifth of Russian armed forces units involved in hostilities in Ukraine have been destroyed,” Zaluzhnyi wrote.
In addition, Zaluzhnyi informed Milley about the operational situation, stressing that hostilities are taking place along 1,300 km of the frontline. The Commander-in-Chief emphasized that Ukraine is in dire need of artillery fire reinforcement, addressing this issue to international partners once again.
