The Center for Strategic Communications explains what the pseudo-referendum in the occupied part of Zaporizhia means.
The corresponding statement about the pseudo-referendum was made by the nominal “head” of the Russian administration of the region, traitor Balytskyi. This was the first statement claiming that the so-called “referendum” would actually take place in the occupied territory.
By officially greenlighting the pseudo-referendum, Moscow crossed the “red line” in the issue of prospects for talks with Ukraine, which is seen as categorically unacceptable.
Russia is waging an aggressive, colonial war in Ukraine, with the goal of annexing territories and destroying Ukrainian statehood.
Any decisions that violate the principle of territorial integrity of Ukraine are illegitimate, and Russia will not force the world to recognize its “new borders”.
The population of the occupied territories sincerely hates the invaders, and the imitation of the “show of will” will become another farce, a show designed for Russian television.
In the occupied territory, it is necessary to avoid cooperation with the occupiers by all means. Compulsorily naturalized residents will continue to be seen as citizens of Ukraine, not those of the Russian Federation.
Russia made a bet on Melitopol, not on Kherson – the occupiers understand the inevitability of losing their bridgehead on the right bank of the Dnipro and Zaporizhia region, as well as Kherson region, and all the rest will be liberated by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
