A tour of the Patriarchal Church of George the Victorious was organized for the hierarch of the Church of Cyprus. Metropolitan Isaiah assured Patriarch Bartholomew of the sincere respect and love that he and his clergy have for the Ecumenical Patriarchate, and announced the beginning of pilgrimage missions from the Metropolitanate of Tamassos to Constantinople.
Also during the meeting, Metropolitan Isaiah and Patriarch Bartholomew exchanged gifts.
Earlier, Metropolitan Isaiah of Tamassos came into the spotlight over a number of harsh statements addressing the OCU. He even declared that he would not commemorate the Archbishop of Cyprus at the Divine Service, due to his decision to recognize the OCU as an autocephalous church.
