More than 90% of Ukrainians are confident of victory – poll

As of mid-June, 93% of respondents believe that Ukraine will be able to repulse Russia’s invasion. Despite the high level of confidence in victory, respondents are more “sober” in assessing the time it may take to achieve victory in the war.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the survey by the Rating Sociological Group.

According to the survey, today the majority (67%) believe that it will take at least six months to win, or even more time (in particular, 18% believe it will take more than a year).

A quarter of respondents (25%) believe in victory in a few months, and about 6% – in a few weeks.

In March, most Ukrainians thought it would take weeks or months to seal a victory.

The survey was conducted on June 18-19, 2022, throughout Ukraine, except for the territories of Crimea and Donbas that are temporarily occupied by Russia, as well as the territories where at the time of the survey there is no Ukrainian mobile signal. Sample population: 1,200 respondents. Survey method: CATI (Computer Assisted Telephone Interviews).

It should be recalled that during the war, Ukrainians significantly improved their assessment of Ukraine’s development prospects.

In May 2022, compared to the end of last year, the number of optimists increased sixfold – from 13% to 76%.
