    Exarch of Ecumenical Patriarch co-serves with OCU Metropolitan Oleksandr in church of Monastery of St. Nectarios of Aegina

    On Holy Saturday, April 30, the Exarch of the Ecumenical Patriarch, Bishop Mykhailo of Koman, co-celebrated the Divine Liturgy with Metropolitan Oleksandr of Pereyaslav and Vyshneve in the Church of the Savior Transfiguration at the Monastery of St. Nectarios of Aegina in Yasny Khutir near Kyiv.

    This was reported by the press service of the Stauropegion of the Ecumenical Patriarch in Ukraine with reference to the website of the Pereyaslav-Vyshneve Diocese.

    During the Liturgy, at the request of Bishop Mykhailo, Metropolitan Oleksandr ordained a graduate of the Kyiv Orthodox Theological Academy, Oleksandr Yefremenko, a subdeacon. The clergyman-subdeacon will be serving at the Headquarters of the Stauropegion of the Ecumenical Patriarch in Ukraine, St. Andrew’s Church.

    Prayers for the soldiers defending Ukraine, for the government and the people were heard during the service, as well as those for the souls of all fallen defenders of their Homeland to rest in peace.

    Completing the service, the Metropolitan addressed the faithful with a word of instruction, congratulating everyone on the bright days of Easter.
