Poll: 89 percent of Ukrainians demand no-fly zone over Ukraine

Almost 90% of Ukrainians demand that the sky be shut down over Ukraine, while 43% believe no such step will be taken by Western powers.

That’s according to a survey run by the Rating Sociological Group.

“The results showed that 89% of respondents demanded a no-fly zone and arms supplies (47%). In addition, a quarter consider the need for military medical assistance and foreign volunteers, one in five – equipment (radios, thermal imagers, etc.), armored vests and helmets,” the survey says.

The majority (50%) believe the no-fly zone will eventually be introduced, only 19% believe that NATO will make such a move in the near future, and 31% think it will happen later. 43% suggest Western powers will not close the sky over Ukraine for the Russian missiles and warplanes.

Also, 79% believe that the delay in “closing the skies” by NATO powers is due to fears of direct war with Russia. Another 12% believe that NATO allies do not want to spoil relations with the occupying power. At the same time, the vast majority of respondents (90%) believe Ukraine should continue to exert pressure on NATO to “close the sky”.
