Abduction of Nariman Dzhelyalov: Another crime of Russian invaders challenging Crimea Platform participants

First Deputy Head of Crimean Tatars’ Mejlis, Nariman Dzhelyalov, who earlier took part in the Crimea Platform inaugural summit, was abducted by Russian invaders in the occupied Crimea. Not detained but, namely, abducted! Yet another crime in the line of many…

Of course, everyone expected some response to the Crimea Platform on the part of Russia, and over the past two weeks, this response was mostly about threats and media manipulations. Nothing more because Russia wasn’t capable of doing anything else that wouldn’t be harmful to itself, such as imposing sanctions on the summit participants.

But Russia decided to do just that… Following the event at which much was said about human rights violations in the occupied Crimea, about the occupiers’ crimes against humanity, the invaders are committing another crime!

With this abduction, Russia spat in the face of the UN Secretary General, the UN Security Council and danced the “Kalinka” in PACE. The savagery of Russia’s foreign and domestic policy should be suppressed harshly and without any indulgences or tolerance that has long become inappropriate in Russia’s case.

The abduction of Nariman Dzhelyalov is a challenge to the entire civilized community opposing Russia’s savagery.
