In the town of Pidhorodne, the chaplain of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, Father Kostianеtyn, blessed 101 recruits of the National Guard who took the oath of allegiance on July 10. The chaplain also read a prayer and sprinkled the Guards with consecrated water.
That’s according to the official website of the NGU and dp.informator.ua
The new recruits took the oath at the Training Center of the Central Operational-Territorial Group of the National Guard of Ukraine of the Major General Oleksandr Radievsky Dnipro Public Order Regiment.
“All servicemen came from different parts of Ukraine to undergo training as assigned, to take a military oath of allegiance to the Ukrainian people. After completing training as assigned, servicemen will be deployed to their military bases. Those who will serve in Military Unit 3036 will get to their regular units for further service,” said Commander of NGU’s Unit 3036 Lieutenant Colonel Yevhen Shulha.
Along with the young men, four female recruits swore to always be faithful and loyal to the Ukrainian people, and to defend sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
For several weeks, they all underwent training at the field camp where they mastered basic military skills, which will be further improved during service.
Congratulations to our recruits on this important day!
