The Metropolitan of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (in unity with the Moscow Patriarchate) in Cherkasy, Feodosii (Snigiriov), issued a decree allowing clergy not to voice prayers for Ukraine, instead praying only for the “Church that is suffering from persecution”, referring to his own church.
This is reported by the Monolog.Zdyes Telegram channel.
“It turned out that Metropolitan Feodosii Snigiryov, the Cherkasy commemorator of Kirill Gundyaev, gave permission to omit even this ‘vague’ prayer for Ukraine. The main thing is to pray for the ‘persecuted’ UOC and you can skip the rest…” the posting says.
