On October 24, 2023, His Beatitude Metropolitan Epifaniy of Kyiv and All Ukraine welcomed at his residence the family of fallen Ukrainian soldier Viktor Rafalskyi.

The son of the serviceman who sacrificed his life for Ukraine serves in the church in the village of Luhyny, Zhytomyr region. During his recent visit to this parish, the Primate of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine invited him and his brother to visit the Metropolitan House.
During the meeting, in which the priest of the temple Archpriest Petro Kyrychevsky and his family also took part, the children told His Beatitude about their studies and plans for the future.
For his part, Metropolitan Epifaniy expressed words of support to the Rafalskyi family, noted the importance of praying for the fallen heroes, and invoked God’s blessings on those present.
