On April 20, the National Police officially announced the fate of several people who were detained during an attempt to break into the premises of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra National Reserve.
The National Police explained that near the Lavra premises, sealed by the audit team from the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy, was assaulted by a group of people. Investigators promptly studied the circumstances of the incident and identified four most active suspects, pressing hooliganism charges against them, the press service of the National Police reports.
As a result, two men (born in 1983 and 2001) and two women (born in 1984 and 1986) were detained. They were taken to the station, where they were charged under Part 3 of Art. 296 of the Criminal Code. They are facing up to five years in prison.
