The Ecumenical Patriarchate says next Friday, January 27, on the feast of the transfer of the relics of Saint John Chrysostom, Archbishop of Constantinople, the head of the OCU, Metropolitan Epifaniy of Kyiv and All Ukraine, will be officiating a Chorostasia in the Patriarchal Church of St. George at the Phanar.
On the eve of the holiday, during Vespers, Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew will lead the divine service, reports the website fosfanariou.gr
According to the observed order, the holy icon of John Chrysostom will be placed on the patriarchal throne, while his holy relics will be exhibited for the worship of devout Christians.
It should be recalled that the head of the OCU said he is “not in contact with Metropolitan Onufriy.”
