During his episcopal visit to the Chernihiv Diocese, the Primate of the local Ukrainian Orthodox Church met with the head of the Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, Vyacheslav Chaus.

Before visiting the administration, Metropolitan Epifaniy honored the fallen soldiers and laid flowers at the local memorial to the fallen defenders of Ukraine, as well as a memorial sign commemorating the Heavenly Hundred heroes of the Revolution of Dignity (2014).
Archbishop Yevstratiy of Chernihiv and Nizhyn, archpriest Roman Kinyk, Secretary of the Chernihiv diocese, and a number of chaplains also took part in the meeting with the regional chief.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the religious and interfaith situation, issues of chaplaincy and measures aimed at attracting international support to counter Russian aggression.
The head of the Chernihiv administration, Vyacheslav Chaus, expressed gratitude to His Beatitude for the assistance provided by the Metropolitan Fund, and assured support for the good initiatives of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine.
