Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev reacted hysterically to Ukraine’s decision to sanction the UOC (MP). He called the Ukrainian authorities “Kyiv Satanists” and “Christ-sellers.”
On his Telegram channel, Medvedev complained that Ukraine is looking in the Moscow Patriarchate “for connections with the Russian world” and “taking away church property.” According to the former president of the Russian Federation, clerics and parishioners of the UOC (MP) are allegedly being “assaulted” in Ukraine, reports Obozrevatel.
Medvedev added that the “persecution” of the UOC (MP) allegedly began during the presidency of Petro Poroshenko, and that the incumbent Ukrainian government “openly became enemies of Christ and the Orthodox faith.”
The former president of the aggressor country cynically quoted the Holy Scriptures, addressing the “Christ sellers of Kyiv”: ” And my eye will not spare you, nor will I have pity, but I will punish you for your ways, while your abominations are in your midst. Then you will know that I am the LORD.”(Ezek. 7:9).
