Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky held a phone call with the President of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association and Samaritan’s Purse Franklin Graham.
This is according to his X post.
“I spoke with the President of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association and Samaritan’s Purse Franklin Graham. I am grateful for the prayers for peace in Ukraine and the support for Ukrainian children and all our people. In this time, as Russia continues to commit crime after crime, this support is more important than ever,” wrote the Ukrainian leader.
In the conversation, the president underlined the problem of abducted Ukrainian children: “Russia has abducted thousands of Ukrainian children from the occupied territories, and we must do everything to bring them home—to their families, to Ukraine.”
Zelensky also noted Ukraine’s efforts to protect religious freedom and restore the country despite Russian aggression.
“In our country, we are doing everything to protect religious freedom, preserve normal life, restore what has been destroyed by the Russians, and prevent them from turning our cities and villages, schools, and churches to ashes,” said the president.
It should be noted that the call was made ahead of the meeting with Donald Trump.
