More than 2,000 ROC priests have been to the front in Ukraine, having completed more than 4,500 missions. Some priests have been deployed there 1.5 to 2 years ago.
This was reported by Metropolitan Kirill (Pokrovsky), head of the Synodal Department for Interaction with the Armed Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies, reports the Christians Against War resource.
According to the cleric, the priests motivate soldiers to “go into battle without fear.”
“The motivation to protect the Russian World, the country’s shrines, seeing how not only the Nazis, but also the Satanists are destroying the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. And the entire Western world, already a post-Christian world in general, is unfortunately silent about this,” he noted.
