A new report by the Eurasia Mission, “Faith targeted by Russian Terror,” has been released – a continuation of the research begun in “Faith under Fire” (2023), reports the Christians Against War outlet.
It contains new evidence of systematic repression against religious communities in the occupied territories of Ukraine: the destruction of churches, the persecution of priests, bans on worship, and attempts to erase the spiritual and cultural identity of Ukrainians.
The Kremlin continues to exploit religion as a propaganda tool, justifying the war with false narratives about “protecting Christian values”. This report shows the real picture – hundreds of destroyed shrines, arrests and torture of spiritual leaders, pressure on religious communities. This is not just a record of facts, but an exposure of Kremlin disinformation and a tool for the fight for justice.
If Russia is not stopped, religious repression will continue to expand. The report serves as a call to the international community to protect religious freedom and democratic principles.
