The DPRK declared that they would “stand firm alongside their Russian comrades” and expressed confidence in the victory of the Russian aggressor.
This was stated by North Korean Foreign Minister Choi Song-hee during negotiations with her Russian counterpart, Sergei Lavrov.
The North Korean diplomat referred to Russia’s war in Ukraine as “sacred”. She said that from the beginning of the so-called “special military operation”, leader Kim Jong-un “strongly” supported the Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin and “provided assistance to the Russian army and people.”
According to Choi Song-hee, Pyongyang “does not doubt Russia’s victory in the conflict in Ukraine under the wise leadership of the respected Russian President Vladimir Putin.”
“The Russian army and people will certainly achieve a great victory in their sacred struggle to protect sovereign rights and protect the security of their state,” the head of the DPRK Foreign Ministry cynically stated.
