On April 17, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) adopted a new resolution on Russia.
This was announced by the Council deputy and member of the Ukrainian delegation to the PACE, Oleksiy Honcharenko.
The resolution was adopted unanimously. It contains four key points that Moscow will be outraged about. Point One. PACE does not recognize the outcome of the so-called “presidential elections” in the Russian Federation, considers dictator Putin an illegitimate leader, and calls on all countries to abandon contacts with his regime, except for humanitarian purposes. Point Two. The Russian Orthodox Church (ROC) and its leader Kirill (Gundyaev) are recognized as accomplices of the Kremlin in its aggression against Ukraine. Point Three. PACE recognizes the Russian oil and gas industry as a legitimate military target for Ukraine. Point Four. The Assembly calls on the United States to unblock military aid to Kyiv.
“A resolution was just passed with a few greetings to Putin and his gang. So, Putin is illegitimate! It is no longer a Committee, but the Assembly itself (that made this decision)… Gundyaev the bandit, FSB general, aka Patriarch Kirill and other ROC hierarchs and the ROC itself are instruments of Putin’s aggression and are responsible for his crimes. Hi to Russian oil and gas oligarchs! The Russian oil and gas industry is a legitimate target for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Great news, too. And a call to the U.S. Congress to stop messing around, make a decision, and finally allocate money to Ukraine to stop this evil. This is not even a double blow, but quadruple blow at once,” said the Ukrainian lawmaker.
