In Kharkiv region, the volunteer program co-sponsored by philantropist Oleksandr Skoryk, the St. Nicholas Men’s Monastery in Kovyahy, and the Revival of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine” Charitable Fund is ongoing, aiming to supply the much-needed SUVs and other vehicles to the Ukrainian military.
On November 11, 2023, with the blessing of Archbishop Mytrofan, the rite of consecration was performed on the latest batch of vehicles by Abbot Feodosiy (Hanziy). On December 12, 2023, six more SUVs and three minibuses were handed over to the Ukrainian military, the diocese reports.
“Helping our Armed Forces of Ukraine should be a priority for every Ukrainian. They, our warriors, are our shield, our hope! Together toward Victory,” wrote Oleksandr Skoryk, patron of the Kharkiv Diocese.
