Russia extends its reach to mosques to recruit soldiers for war against Ukraine

Russian authorities are trying by all means to find volunteers who would be ready to go and fight in Ukraine. Now military propaganda is heard in Russia’s mosques.

In particular, such reports came from the Penza region, where Muslims were targeted with recruitment proposals in local mosques. This was reported by the Atesh partisan movement on Telegram, referring to the information received from their supporters on the territory of the Russian Federation.

To achieve their goals, Ukrainians are being denigrated in the eyes of Muslim believers, and claims are voiced that the war against Ukrainians is “sacred.”

However, the report says such propaganda tricks find little response among Russian Muslims.

“Fortunately, among the Tatars there are more intelligent people who do not engage in propaganda. They understand that real clerics cannot call for war against the Ukrainian people,” Atesh noted.
