On September 5, the church in honor of Borys and Hlib in Vyshgorod, which officially shifted to the Orthodox Church of Ukraine on June 17, 2023, hosted the first service in Ukrainian.
That’s according to Vyshhorod’s local Facebook platforms.
As per the decision of the general meeting of the Community of June 17, 2023, the historical monument, the Church of Borys and Hlib, was officially transferred to the Orthodox Church of Ukraine.
The confirmation is the Extract from the State Register of Legal Entities and Public Organizations dated August 4, 2023, No. 1003341070001002714,” the report says.
The religious service was performed by the abbot of the, Doctor of Theology, Father Vitaly Klos, alongside OCU priests from the Vyshhorod district.
On September 6, at 9:30, a joint prayer was held.
It should be recalled that the head of the OCU visited the Chalcedon Metropolitanate of the Ecumenical Patriarchate. Also in Transcarpathia, believers of the UOC (MP) did not allow the OCU to enter the church.
