The Orthodox Church of Ukraine has called on believers to bring their children to church and come to services more often themselves.
The relevant address was published on September 6, 2023, on the Instagram page of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine.
The posting says that children’s prayer is truly something unique and sincere. Therefore, it is emphasized that children should be brought to the temple as early as possible. Fulfilling, thereby, the Gospel Word: “Allow the children to come to Me and do not forbid them, for such are the Kingdom of God” (Mk. 10: 14):
“The Lord set this sincerity and openness of children as an example for adults as well: “I tell you the truth: whoever does not receive the Kingdom of God like a child will not enter it” (Mk. 10: 15). Bring your children to church – the earlier the better. No cartoons or games will enrich them with those unique spiritual fruits and blessings that the Lord and His Church do. Bring the child to church, and come yourself. The doors of our Church are always open to everyone!” the address states.
