On June 23, 2023, the Primate of the Autocephalous Ukrainian Orthodox Church received in the Metropolitan House Archpriest Valentyn Horokhovskyi from the parish in honor of the Nativity of the Holy Mother of God in the village of Antonivka, near Kherson.

Recently, Father Valentyn together with the clerics of the temple Archpriest Oleh Horohovskyi, Protodeacon Vasyl Bihun, and the community of believers decided to follow the Tomos of autocephaly and join the Orthodox Church of Ukraine.
His Beatitude discussed with the priest the current situation in Kherson region, thanked him for his important decision, and handed over the relevant decrees, a personal epitrachyl and liturgical publications in the Ukrainian language.
