A delegation of Ukrainian military and chaplains took part in the International Military Pilgrimage to Lourdes in France.
Deputy Minister of Defense Hanna Maliar, who headed the Ukrainian delegation, wrote about this on Telegram.
She noted that those in attendance had prayed for the victory of Ukraine.
“Every year in France, the military gathers with military chaplains for the International Military Pilgrimage in Lourdes. This is a large international event that unites the military community on issues of spiritual and psychological support and rehabilitation of military personnel. This year, 14,000 personnel from 38 countries are here,” said Maliar.
She added that she had the honor of leading the Ukrainian delegation and being the first representative of Ukraine’s defense leadership to attend such an event.
Maliar recalled that military chaplaincy was officially launched this year in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“There is a lot of attention here to our delegation. Our flag-bearing group went first. They prayed for our victory here. Almost everyone came up to us with words of support and said ‘bravo Ukraine,’” she concluded.
