The Romanian Church in Moldova engaged in charity work for refugees from Ukraine and elderly people without support.
In the Central Diocesan Center of Southern Bessarabia in the city of Cagul, tablets were distributed to children from Bessarabia and Ukraine with the support of the Diaconi Social Mission, reports Basilica.
Together with the parish priest Alexander Ioan Kuza, Bishop Benjamin also visited a family that does not have financial opportunities, offering them financial support and food.
Also on Thursday, Bishop Anthony of Balti visited the center for refugees located in the municipality.
Accompanied by clerics of the diocese, Bishop Anthony handed over a thousand red eggs and 500 paschas to the Ukrainian refugees.
It should be recalled that while on a visit to Hungary, the Pope will discuss the unity of Europe and the tragedy of the war in Ukraine.
