In Kyiv, Rabbi Moshe Reuven Asman met with the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valeriy Zaluzhnyi, presenting him with matzah, the Jewish national bread.

This is reported by Jewish News.

Moreover, it was matzah shmurah that was handed over, that is, bread made by hand according to an ancient Jewish recipe.

Rabbi Asman emphasized that Pesach is a holiday of Liberation.

Jewish News previously reported that Rabbi Asman congratulated General Zaluzhnyi on Hanukkah and presented him with Hanukkah, a symbol of victory and wonder, as well as Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, presenting him with a shofar and blessing General Zaluzhnyi and in his face, the entire Ukrainian Army for victory in repelling Russian aggression.
