Another UOC (MP) parish in Kyiv region joins OCU

In the village of Hruzke, Byshiv community, located in Kyiv region’s Fastiv district, a parish formerly belonging to the UOC (MP) shifted to the Orthodox Church of Ukraine.

This was reported on Facebook by local historian Yevhen Buket.

“Today is a historic event for my native village of Hruzke, Byshiv community, Fastiv district, Kyiv region. Our religious community of the St. Archangel Michael Church made a unanimous decision to join the Orthodox Church of Ukraine,” the local historian said in a statement.

As it became known, at the general meeting, in addition to the decision on the transition, a new composition of the parish council and audit commission was elected.

“I had the honor to lead the meeting and tell my fellow people about the history of our parish. Thank you to all the residents of Hruzke and Vesela Sloboda, who today got rid of more than 200 years of spiritual slavery in Moscow! Glory to Jesus Christ! Glory to Ukraine,” Yevhen Buket concluded.
