“We must look squarely into the face of each and every murdered child and decide what we are willing to do.” Archbishop Elpidophoros of America made this statement on social media in reference to the tragic incident of an armed attack that killed three children and three adults at a private primary school in Nashville, Tennessee.
That’s according to Orthodox Times.
The Archbishop of America stressed that “it is not possible to live as a society in an environment of armed violence, nor for our children to die like this.” “I pray,” he said, “for the people of Nashville and for the families of all massacred.”
It is worth noting that Archbishop Elpidophoros, for the umpteenth time, is sounding the alarm regarding the issue of gun ownership and use in the United States, as the tragic incidents of armed violence have taken the lives of thousands of people, including many children.
