Ukrainians see as their favorite holidays Easter, Christmas, and Independence Day.
That’s according to a poll run by Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KIIS) from February 14 to February 22, UNIAN reports.
The majority of the population celebrates Easter and Christmas as their most favorite holidays, with a share of 70% and 69% of respondents voting for them, respectively.
The next most popular holidays are Independence Day (63%) and Day of Ukraine Defenders (54%).
“The New Year, which is widely celebrated all over the world and which shared the first place with Christmas and Easter throughout the past years, is now only in fifth place (52%),” the poll report reads.
In addition, Constitution Day, International Women’s Day, and Trinity have 29%, 25%, and 22%, respectively.
The least popular holidays among Ukrainians are Victory Day (May 8) and Labor Day (May 1) – only 13% and 5% of Ukrainians see these dates as favorite or important.
