Russia’s ally, Chechnya leader Ramzan Kadyrov, said that he is already preparing Muslim clerics for the war against Ukraine – the first group of theologians from the spiritual administration of Muslims has been trained at the Russian Special Operations Forces University.
Kadyrov announced this on Telegram, Ukrainian Pravda reports.
“Our best instructors taught them safe handling of weapons, basic skills in tactical fire and first aid over a seven-day training course,” he said.
Kadyrov says that the mufti of Chechnya, Salah-Haji Mezhiev, who has also undergone training, has assured that the worshipers are ready to go to war in Ukraine if necessary, “to make a significant contribution to the victory of our state over the servants of Satan” in Ukraine.
According to him, more than 300 qadis and imams from Chechnya mosques are set to undergo military training with the special operations forces.
In October 2022, the Kremlin-controlled head of Chechnya said that it was not Putin’s special operation, but a war. According to him, this is a war “between the Orthodox, Muslims, and Satanists.” He also said that in Ukraine he “protects the Quran and the Prophet Muhammad.”
Earlier, Kadyrov called on Muslims to bring European cities to their knees.
