Ukrainian pilgrims sing Christmas carols to Bartholomew

The clergy of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine together with the pilgrims congratulated Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew with Christmas carols, collected from different parts of Ukraine.

OCU priest Vasyl Rudnitskyi wrote about this on his Facebook page, Religious Pravda reports.

At the request of soldiers serving on the front line, chevrons were presented to the Patriarch as a reminder of the indomitability of Ukraine and convincing faith in the country’s Victory.

As reported by the OCU Pilgrimage Center, during the war, “we all try to do our part to help our military.”

Ukrainian craftswoman Kateryna Turchyna paints shell casings for sale at an auction and donates all proceeds to the Armed Forces. The delegation handed such casings to the Ecumenical Patriarch, emphasizing the fact that “our people turn any evil into Good.”

“With unwavering faith in God’s help, we prayed in the Patriarchal Church of St. George, St. Stephen, the Blacherna Church and the Life-giving Spring Monastery for Ukraine’s victory over the Russian aggressor,” the Pilgrim Center reports.
