The Security Service of Ukraine is carrying out “security measures” on the territory of one monastery run by the Mukachevo Diocese of the UOC (affiliated with the Moscow Patriarchate) in Zakarpattia.
This was reported by the agency’s press service on November 30.
It is explained that in view of the full-scale war the Russian Federation is waging against Ukraine, the risks of criminal acts against the security of Ukrainians, sovereignty, territorial integrity and independence of Ukraine are increasing.
Security operatives together with representatives of the church:
▪️ conduct an inspection of the territory and premises of the monastery to search for prohibited items;
▪️ carry out vetting of persons on the territory of the monastery regarding their involvement in illegal activities to the detriment of the state sovereignty of Ukraine.
