Any institution, whether religious or not, if it interferes in the affairs of our state, will necessarily be liquidated.
Oleksiy Danilov, secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, spoke about this with Channel 24.
Danilov emphasized that the issue of religion is very complex. People’s choice of which church to go to is their personal matter. They have the right to this according to our constitution, our laws.
“It so happened that in 1991 the Russian Federation also occupied the church community of our country,” said the secretary of the NSDC.
According to him, then the mayors of some cities were spinning plots for the construction of churches of the Moscow Patriarchate.
“It was a big mistake and today we are reaping its consequences,” the official noted.
He emphasized that if during the inspection it is found that the actions of certain persons or institutions are against our legislation, the government’s reaction will be immediate and mandatory. It is only a matter of time and proof by the relevant bodies that deal with such matters.
“We cannot risk our country for someone who carries out the tasks they receive from the Kremlin. All the more so during the military confrontation with Russia,” noted the Secretary of the National Security Council.
