Today in Stauropegium of the Ecumenical Patriarchate in Ukraine, Bishop Michael of Koman met with Brovary Mayor Ihor Sapozhko and member of the Brovary City Council executive committee Oleksiy Doroshenko.
This is reported by the Mission’s press service.
The parties discussed the religious and interfaith situation in Ukraine. They also touched upon Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew’s support for Ukrainians, in particular, refugees who were forced to flee their homes due to the Russian war.
“His Holiness constantly prays for our defenders, volunteers, medics, authorities, and all people of good will who are helping Ukraine. The Mother Church stands together with Ukrainian refugees, prisoners of war, and all those affected by Russian aggression,” said the Exarch of the Ecumenical Patriarch, Bishop Michael.
In memory of the meeting, the bishop and the guests exchanged commemorative gifts.
It should be recalled that the Exarch of the Ecumenical Patriarch congratulated Ukrainians on Independence Day.
