With the blessing of the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, on Ukraine’s Independence Day of Ukraine, Aug 24, the Divine Liturgy in the Church of Saint Nicholas (Istanbul, Fatih) began in the Ukrainian language.
This was reported by the Consulate General of Ukraine in Istanbul.
The divine service was led by Bishop Adrian of Halicarnassus, in the co-service of Archimandrite Harlampius and Patriarchal Deacon Epiphanius.
It should be recalled that Patriarch Bartholomew congratulated Ukraine on Independence Day, saying that good always triumphs over evil.
