In the temporarily occupied Crimea, local partisans intensified their efforts within the resistance movement, opposing the Russian occupation of the peninsula.
That’s according to a spokesperson for the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine’s Defense Ministry, Vadym Skibitskyi.
According to the defense intelligence official, the regrouping of Russian troops in Kherson and Zaporizhia directions is underway as a battalion-tactical group (600 to 1,000 troops) of Russian paratroopers has arrived in Crimea, set to be deployed in mainland Ukraine.
The occupiers are also strengthening their air defense system on the peninsula.
“Against this background, the guerillas and the movement against the occupiers became more proactive. People are preparing for the fact that we will return there,” said Skibitskyi.
